Life is simple, or so we are told.
Lead like sheep to slaughter, we are made to believe that life is black and white.
Life is complex. It is a multiplex of color that spans the entire spectrum.
The leaves outside turn from green to yellow to orange to red.
Summer has gone up in flames.
The leaves on the ground flutter in the wind like the pages of a discarded book.
They lay in piles on the brown earth looking like pools of gold flame in the afternoon light.
The wind showers fiery color down on you as you walk.
No yellow brick road but a path of flame and righteousness.
